Introducing the KJ – 15 Shikra

The KJ 15 Shikra fighter jet is a light fighter capable of carrying up to seven attachments and boasting a twin-auto cannon with 400 rounds of AP ammunition. Built to be highly manoeuvrable and somewhat fast, the Shikra should be a dogfighting monster.
The weapons system is set up for radar, radio, GPS, and laser munitions.

Pilots Manual
— Startup —
  1. – takeoff –
    1 – battery
    2 – instruments
    3 – engine
    4 – close canopy
    5 – brakes
    6 – slowly increase throttle until you begin to taxi
    – landing-
    -begin approach
    – reduce speed gradually
    – reduce throttle to 0
    – the plane will glide at around 120 – 140 knots
    – you can apply the brakes before or after touchdown
    – there is a drogue chute if needed

Weapons
  1. EHCS Weapon Manager

    The weapon manager is on the weapons page of the MFD. To use the weapons, simply select the desired weapon , and press space to fire. In the case you wish to use your own weapons, default weapons will work with limitations, for full integration, use the EHCS Standard. Targetting data can be passed to the weapons using the Target keypads to the right of the seat.
    Use the buttons on the far right to cycle up and down through the list and to access the hardpoint page where you can see data on each individual hardpoint.

    HEVS HUD

    Currently selected weapons with EHCS data will show targetting information on the HUD, red indicates a current lock, while yellow is likely target that is within range of the weapon. When a weapon is locked, a tone can be heard. if an enemy has locked you with their radar, a warning tone will play, and a warning will flash on the HUD.

    NNTC AIM-9 Scythe

    The AIM-9 Scythe is a HOBS missile designed for dogfighting. It posseses a 2.4km – 0.2km range. Once selected the missile will look where the player looks (limited to the max rotation of the pivots). When the missile is selected, a low tone will play to indicate the seeker is active, the locking tone will play when it has locked.

    NNTC AGM-84E SLAM

    Air launched missile capable of hitting radar targets reliably at distances of up to 100km with devastating effect. Requires GPS coordinates from keypads.

    NNTC AIM-120 Kontos

    Long range missile designed for targets up to 40km away. heavily recommended to use the HUD when aiming the missile. Will switch to a more maneuverable mode when close to the target.

    EHCS Hardpoint Manager

    The hardpoint manager is on the third page of the MFD. Use it to see detailed information on each hardpoint, and the activate or drop each. Relies on EHCS data.

    Countermeasures

    Autochaff can be enabled through a button underneath the MFD, or manual chaff can be used by pressing 4.

Updates

– added the updated laser/camera tracker. Should be more stable (at least as good as you can get with new radar)
-removed the pitch trim (wasn’t needed)
-added a different fix for the AMD issues. This one works i have amd now so i can see for myself what the issues are.
-Improved agility
-improved top speed
-improved lift at low speed
-swapped the wheels back to all round and removed the xml grip. This should stop the plane randomly vibrating on the ground
