Pokemon Master
This Mod is actively in development! Things are subject to change(hopefully for the better), but at this point my mod is no longer clearly unfinished. There’s still a lot of work to be done, and almost certainly some rebalancing. But give it a try if you’re interested!
The Pokemon Master has come the challenge the Spire. The Pokemon Master is a new character mod for Slay the Spire. This character uses pokemon cards who increase in power over the course of the battle. When you play a pokemon card that can evolve, the card is temporarily removed from your deck and the evolution is added to your discard pile for the rest of the combat. Some exceptions apply.
Currently in the mod pack are ~400 new cards, with about 900-1000~ total planned.

Overhaul the Evolution system. Currently it’s done in a pretty basic brute-force manner and I’d like it to be nicer. I’ve taken a large step to overhauling this! Hopefully it’ll be done very soon!
Eventually I plan to implement a system to permanently evolve pokemon at rest sites, but this is lower on the priority list currently and will require the Evolution overhaul.
Implement the rest of the cards. 500~ to go!
Custom Events, I have ideas for 4-5 events to add some pokemon themed content to the spire
Have the Character say what types of pokemon will be in the pool at the start of the run. (Or otherwise clearly tell the player)

✓Card previews for evolutions! Was far easier to implement than I thought it was going to be.
✓Relics! There is one boss relic, with 1-2 more planned, and 4 relics of varying rarities.
✓Types are randomly selected at the start of the run! Currently it’s based off of the games seed, but in the future I’ll figure out how to base it off either a dialogue option in game, or a config file.
✓Prized has been reworked into being 6 flat damage that lingers after you play a Prized card. I’m more happy with this, but we’ll see. It definitely feels better though.
✓Starting Relic is done! *ALL enemies in the spire are capturable and give unique cards. Just right click the relic to add the pokeball to your hand and capture the enemy you want! (The Maw, Giant Head, Red Mask Gang and the Act 4 enemies are still a WIP.)
✓All of the Basicmod placeholder art is gone! The heart kill art is still a WIP, and a few cards and powers will still be missing art, but all of the character art is implemented.
✓Add Specific Cardbacks for each of the card types.
✓Added support for the googly eye mod. Unfortunately it looks like it doesn’t support character models made using Sprinter, but most of the cards have eyes. If anyone has a work around let me know!
