Authentic Cathay names [Cathay Historical Reskin]
English only mod, inspired by the "震旦地名、势力名规整重汉化"-mod.
For all those who Really enjoyed Three Kingdoms and want some of its flavouring.
This is a small immersion mod that changes the names of locations into their Chinese equivalents, based on also the translations provided by WoodBomb. Character names are also swapped to be on proper "surname – first name"-basis than the vanilla’s English-based naming convention.
Miao Ying and Zhao Ming’s territories are also called "Northern Nangaufu" and "Western Hanyufu" respectively, based on the historical term "fǔ"(府) for administrative divisions of many Chinese dynasties. They’re also called "Circuits" in places.
Since in vanilla game already calls Kislev areas as "oblasts" to add the real-life cultural flavor, its only reasonable to do the same for the Grand Cathay. Besides, no one irl translates Chinese places like "Nanjing" or "Sichuan as "South-Capital" or "Four Creeks" for everyday speak.
