Description:

This level takes place before the events of the official Beneath gamemode.

Humanity is facing a tough battle with the forces from the so called "Beneath", and a company called UHDF (United Humanity Defence Force) is the main contributor. Setting up multiple facilities, they track down the location of a gigantic beam which originates Beneath. Since it seems impossible to go straight to it’s origin location, UHDF sends out multiple research teams in an area Beneath filled with caves and mysterious items. In the caves UHDF finds rocks with black lines on them which can be taken samples of and used as weapons, and weapons from ancient times. This has lead to UHDF going even deeper Beneath, and have started upgrading their facilities.

However, as the main facility is being built on, the elevator to Beneath stops working, meaning UHDF has to reconfigure an emergency teleporter to act as a one way entrance to Beneath. Around this time research team Delta, which has recenly went on an expedition to explore more of the Beneath caves, goes missing. You, one of UHDF’s most experienced soldiers have been requested to look for team Delta, and potentially figure out what happened to them. However, you are advised to be careful, since strange activity has been reported in unfamiliar areas Beneath, and things seem to be going out of control.

This map is supposed to fill in the gaps in the earlier events of the Beneath story. Mainly how things went to hell Beneath, and how UHDF got their hands on the first Shard, which can be seen in the main Beneath facility in the room where you change classes.

Features:
-A long, detailed map created over the span of almost 2 months
-Lots of enviroments created using the new primitives and light sources
-Different custom music for almost every area
-133 enemies in total

This map was created for the third Map Maker Contest on the PTTR Discord server.

If certain lighting related stuff is behaving wierd for you, it’s because of your graphics settings.

Coop compatibility: The map is designed for a singleplayer experience, therefore most stuff won’t work in coop. It may be possible to complete, but lots of sequences will be a lot more buggy and may even refuse to play out properly.
