Description:

Another livery pack, totalling in 36 liveries, here is a followup expanison pack to my previous SD40 livery bundle with a giant dose of Canadian variants, made by a Canadian.

The Canadians had their own take on the SD40-2’s, with the most distinctive feature being the Bell being mounted above the nose where the headlight would be. The light would be moved to the nose, and ditchlights would be added either on the frame or the front. Plenty were built for CP, and CN getting secondhand ones in the 1990s alongside their own Canadian SD40s. They would be found anywhere across the network on hot intermodals, or slow manifests, they proved to be universally welcome on any train.

By the 2010s, they had been derated and displaced from regular work due to more modern and efficient engines taking their place, and soon enough both CN and CP started retiring and storing their fleet, and those that did remain saw very limited mainline outings, only working as switchers for yards, hauling ballast and rail trains, local power, and very rarely leading a short manifest. Many have found a new lease of life on shortline railroads across Canada, and even some ending up in the USA, but most have been scrapped or are planning to be retired not to soon.

In this pack, contains 36 different liveries, across CN, CP, BCOL, and ONR, plus the Battle River Railway, and the St Lawrence and Hudson (short-lived subsid of CP), to fill your Canadian railroading needs. also no, im not doing QNSL.

Stay tuned for other livery packs
