Description:
Old timey 4-4-0 is big

built for the Marietta and Cincinnati Railroad in 1850, the Washington was constructed rather differently to later 4-4-0 designs of the 1860s. The Washington had inside cylinders, outside frames, a large smokestack and a small cab nestled between the wheels.

Apart from the Americana like the smokestack, lamp, bell and cowcatcher, this locomotive would not look out of place on British railways at the time.

This locomotive is available in 1850 as a starter loco, and sports 125hp and will get up to 35mph if you ask it nicely. The Vanilla 4-4-0 General is a little weak and poorly balanced, so I recommend going for my, somewhat older, American 4-4-0 pack if you want a few more examples of locomotives that are better balanced.
