(RTTC) Divergent Trails
Divergent Trails features the Forktail Split (also known as the Forktails), a divided city destroyed by an unknown cataclysmic event. Split in-between Dustbowl and the Mountain Range, the Eagles and Ravens struggle for control over a chaos-riddled city on foot, battling over the ruins of bridges and skyscrapers strewn about.
INSPIRED BY FALLOUT: NEW VEGAS DLC – LONESOME ROAD
As Eagles, the recent victory over Dustbowl was unexpectedly met with the news of the Forktail’s destruction. Communications with TALON have ceased, and thus any information gathered is considered lost. Pushing through is still necessary to distract the Ravens away from River Delta and the Canyon’s dam. A new staging point to take the Mountain Range next is secondary.
As Raven, although the Forktail is no longer of any strategic importance, the Eagle’s determination to conquer it regardless is still alarming, and could potentially threaten Mountain Range should they find alternative routes around the Forktail. Stop the Eagle advance.
Perhaps you can find letters left behind from soldiers long-past spread across the map…
This is a King Of The Hill map. Fight for control over Dromaius’s Watch from where the Eagles arrived in the Route of Haliaeetus, or drive the invaders out as Ravens from emerging within the submerged tunnels of Tasmanicus’s Edge.
- Map music adjustable via the music slider in the settings (thanks to RadioactiveJellyfish)
- Post-processing
- Discoverable letters and graffiti (there’s no actual scripting behind them. You can just look for them, I guess)
- 50+ bots (I haven’t tested any higher, but this is pretty fun with around 50 to 64 bots.)
- No team advantage
- AI has all weapons
- This map is heavily Eagle biased. For a more fair Raven experience, I recommend either playing as them and taking the offensive initiative first and foremost before the Eagles reach it, or using the Bot Skill Tweaker mutator by Hijong Park.
- Slight optimisation issue.
- Post-processing might look a little unusual.
