EMP IND Katrina Class Airship MKI ‘Dewi’
Currently still a WIP.
To start the vehicle, go to the reactor terminal, set the desired core temp to around 350, set the boil rate to 7, and actually put the fuel rods in. I think i forgot to rename the leaver, but 1 is inserted, -1 is retracted.
Approach the helm, wait for the turbine RPM to reach around… 4,000, set the clutch to 0.7-0.85, and once the RPM reaches 5,000, that will give you the optimal amount of power for basic flight, once the RPM reaches 6-7,000, you can engauge the forward drive rotor collective, which should get the vehicle to around 100 kts once the RPM reaches 10,000, possibly a lot faster, just be weary because at this point, the rotors loose the capacity to actually stabilise the vehicles pitch, and id say aim to keep the speed around 100 kts for the sake of safety.
Some Lore
The Katrina Class of airship, built in the 19070s, serves the purpose of being an intermediary distributor for uranium fuel rods. Dewi operates in Scotland ferrying large shipments of fuel rods from the refinery in Glasgow, to a major distribution centre on the Shetland Islands where individual containers are divided up and shipped off on smaller aircraft to rig clusters around the North and Norwegian Seas respectively.
