Super Hide ‘n’ Seek World
This is a Mario themed hide and seek map inspired by various nostalgic Mario games and levels.
(obviously) Hiders will hide, while Seeker will try to find them all.
– Everyone grabs weapons from the chest in spawn area (optional).
– Seeker/s (only) enters the red pipe and flicks the switch. Remember to turn off HUD (Alt-Z)!
– This starts the challenge and seeker is locked in the red pipe for 2m:30s.
– Hiders initially wait in spawn area. When challenge is started by the seeker, the green pipe will unlock so level can be entered and a hiding place can be found. (Seeker will also use this pipe after lock-down ends.)
– There is also a quick (guest) access method to the level available via the switch marked ‘G’, near the green pipe. This switch will not start the challenge, but allows for non-delayed exploration.
Collect four hidden power-ups spread across the map to unlock the final room and the Super Star (finishing the level).
– A weapon is required for this.
– To complete, you will need to start the challenge and wait out the lock-down period.
– Mild Hint: The penguins (blue ducks), if you can find them, will point where to look to break something.
– No mods used / required to play.
– Breaking sand won’t cause problems, but it also won’t provide access to new hidden areas
– Hiding areas primarily consist of switch activated, (switch-like) button activated, and sight-limited cavity areas or rooms. There are a few hard to spot sitting/chair accessed areas. No hide & seek areas require a weapon hit to open.
– There are several zones (Classic Level, Kart, Beach/Ocean, Mushroom, 3D model+pipe courtyard, Sky, Bowser), excluding spawn and finish areas, with roughly 5-9 designed hiding areas in each.
– There is some basic platforming as expected from the theme, but areas that require harder parkour to access should either: a) all have easier alternative method to access or b) be target-able from the ground or surrounding areas to tag / spot hiders. Hopefully this minimises host advantage too.
– Hopefully there is a good mix or easy, moderate and harder to find hiding areas.
All are welcome, please post a comment below.
– This is my first attempt at a ScrapMechanic level, so I expect my own play-testing has missed a few issues.

v 1.1 02/05/2023
– ScrapMan, kAN, Moonbo & Kosmo play my map 🤣
https://youtu.be/1dOhaETuwL8 (ScrapMan’s point of view)
– Fixed upload version being an older version of map with a couple of hiding switches pre-triggered (whoops)
– Added teaser window to Peach’s castle
– Lowered flag (to highlight its usefulness / make it easier for hud disabled to sit in)
– Added a chair somewhere…
– Made a couple of minor balance changes to *redacted*
– Adjusted or removed some misleading horns
– Made blue pipe lift harder to lose sensor vision while it rises
