Not Forced To Produce More Services
Urban Center’s Wood upkeep forces you to eventually switch to Steel or crash your entire economy from Wood shortages. Yet once you switch over you’ll immediately be overproducing Services. This mod provides Steel alternatives for the first two Production Methods to provide more control over how much Services you actually want to produce.
Services are used as a replacement good for a lot of things, so you’ll see more Buy Orders for Transportation, Automobiles, Telephones, and Fine Art when you’re not overproducing Services.
Some very basic localization is included for anyone who might be playing in a language other than English.
I’ve also renamed Arcades to Shopping Centers. For some context check out Shopping Center on Wikipedia.[en.wikipedia.org]
In short, Paradox is talking about Shopping Arcades, a 1900s term, but Arcades are a very different thing now. Shopping Centers, a 1920s term, accurately describes what’s going on to this day. (Shopping Malls, a 1950s term, falls outside the playable timespan.)
