MEC ALCOs
In the process of dieselization it was clear MEC would need more efficient locomotives for yard duties and thus came the S2, S4, RS2, and RS3. many of these locomotives proved efficient enough and lasted on the roster until the mid to late 70’s
In 1956 MEC would buy a single RS11 in 1965 they would also purchase a second RS11 from the Portland Terminal Company. during their career they would see both forest green and harvest orange after 1988 these two locomotives would never be seen again they are presumed to be scrapped.
