Real Strategy Religion Patch
One notable discrepancy with Real Strategy is how often religions go unclaimed. Most civilizations are unlikely to build a Holy Site past the Ancient Era. Even then, they would rather work towards earning a Scientist or Merchant instead of recruiting a Great Prophet.
This appears to be intended, but without competition, it trivializes attempts at Religious Victory. The investment required to acquire a religion also becomes relatively minimal, even though they can be useful for other strategies. In order to remedy this, the following changes have been implemented:
– Non-player civilizations will continue to place value on Holy Sites as they enter the Classical Era.
– Increased the default weight for Great Prophet Points across the board.
– When pursuing a Cultural Victory, the computer is also slightly more likely to invest in faith and religion.
