Heracles — Anchor Handing Tug
The Heracles is an AHT. Anchor Handling Tug (AHT) vessels are mainly built to handle anchors for oil rigs, tow them to location, and use them to secure the rigs in place. AHT vessels sometimes also serve as Emergency Response and Rescue Vessels (ERRVs) and as supply transports.
The Heracles is designed to bear the toughest storms and worst conditions in order to accomplish its task. The ship’s bridge has large wrap-around windows to provide excellent situational awareness as well as state of the art Garmin MFDs with all the systems needed for an ocean going vessel. The Heracles has a deck crane mounted for the loading and unloading of cargo and other supplies. The ship also comes with a RHIB for operations where one would be necessary. The Heracles has two four cylinder 5×5 modular engines to tug vessels, anchors, exc, with excellent power. to assist in towing operations, towing pins (cosmetic only) are installed at the aft of the ship for optimal safety and control of what you are towing. The ship has a NEARLY full detailed interior with only small parts in the bow and stern lacking. The Heracles isn’t the most performance friendly ship in the seas but if you put your physics settings to low you should be just fine.
Starting up the Heracles is pretty simple. First, make sure the "main power breaker" on the main control panel is switched ON. Next, turn on all the pumps which is located above the breakers. After that, flip the port and starboard engine switches on which are located to the left of the breakers. Turn monitors, back lights, nav lights, and anything else you would like on. after you do all that you’re good to go!
