Main Features:
Campaign:

– 7 main factions. Union: Army of the Potomac, Army of the Mississippi, Army of the Cumberland. Confederate: Army of Northern Virginia, Army of Tennessee, Army of the Pensacola. Native Americans: Plains Nations.

– Numerous historical generals and characters, with custom faces made to look as close to reality as possible, and each with their own equipment and horses that also match reality as much as possible.

– AI generals will only recruit one unit type, simulating command of a single regiment.

– Accurate map of the continental United States, with special attention paid to rivers, mountains, the locations of cities, etc.

– Numerous historical regiments available for recruitment.

– Numerous custom scenes and historical battlefields made from scratch, closely following available maps and documentation.

– Tournaments changed to prizefights, where the player fights in bare knuckle boxing matches.

– Ability to enlist with an AI general as a regular soldier.

– Renamed companions with new faces, equipment, rewritten backstories, complaints, home descriptions, etc.

– Union bummer and Confederate forager parties appear on the map.

– Confederate Bushwhacker and Union Jayhawker parties appear on the map.

– Parties of runaway slaves appear on the map.

– New historical goods, with all goods being more abundant or rare depending on the faction and the location of the city or village.

– Patrons and musicians added to taverns.

– Hunting system that includes the ability to hunt boars, elk, and buffalo.

– Fast travel system including travel by trains, ships, and stagecoaches.

– Custom made map icons.

– Larger armies and larger default player party size.

Battle:

– Working AI controlled artillery, with 6 historical cannon types available for recruitment.

– AI uses line formations in battles.

– Ability to use a war cry ability as a member of a faction (B key). Confederates give the rebel yell, Union give shouts and huzzahs, and the Native Americans give war whoops.

– Player commands have voice lines and bugle calls while a member of one of the Union or Confederate factions.

– Actual bullets flying through the air in battles that can be occasionally seen whizzing by, and especially when the game is put into slow motion or stopped.

– Custom sounds for firearms, artillery, and artillery impacts, taken from live fire recordings.

– New yells, death screams, victory cheers, etc.

– Integration with VoiceBot program to allow players to use a mic to give voice commands.

General:

– Numerous historical weapons including swords, knives, rifles, carbines, smoothbore muskets, shotguns and revolvers. Every smoothbore musket also has a version that fires buck and ball ammunition.

– Numerous historical uniforms and hats, as well as civilian clothing options.

– Numerous historical flags, with flagbearer units available with all troop types.

– Numerous custom made historical buildings and landmarks.

– Singleplayer custom battles available with historical battlefield scenes from the campaign, as well as some exclusive to the feature.

– A selection of historical generals available in custom battles, with short biographies describing their service in the Civil War.

– Entirely new soundtrack.

– Rewritten dialogues, menus, character creation options, etc.

– Skill books replaced with historical titles and accurate covers.

– New faces and hairstyles.

– New menu pictures.
