Over a decade ago, during the fierce long winter of 27041, Squin was isolated from the rest of the surrounding towns and villages due to heavy ice and snow for the better part of half a year. Being isolated and out of cats people began to trade for what they needed. When an unexpected hobo in a fur overcoat came down the mountain pass and into the city with a calico cat tucked under his arm and traded the cat for something to eat, he was hailed by one and all as the herald of the traders economy. The hobo trader stayed two weeks and then moved on, but the cat was traded 4,387 times in those two weeks and when the hobo got ready to leave, he traded half a beer to get the cat back and then left town.
Going back up the mountain pass which he and the cat had descended half a month before.
No one ever saw the drifter again, but cats started popping up in the wilds in the hills beyond the city. And hobo’s or adventurers, or business men or traveling caravans, local school children and stay at home mom’s still often catch cats in the wilds and bring them back into town to trade them.
It has become sort of a local tradition.

Trading Cats for Cats is just a for fun mod. A little silly maybe, but still I hope fun. You have a set of tools to get goat milk, to catch cats and tools to take the milk and make cheese to catch mice, which are cat food, well, really you sell them, because the cats and mice aren’t really eatable.
You won’t get rich catching wild cats and selling them, well, you might, but probably not. But it might be a decent living and sure beats mining all to heck, well, maybe not. 🙂 But still there are eleven different cats and a mouse and cheese and goat milk of course. 🙂 Oh, and to get the milk you have to get wheatstraw. You can farm it, or buy it, I put it in the bar items for sale, so the bars in Squin and the Hub sell it, and probably all the other bars too, so it will make it easier to get if you aren’t into farming. Not real easy I know, but still, I hope you enjoy it.
This mod is an RPG style played on normal difficulty simply because… you are running around in Kenshi.
