— Overview —

Cybernetic Armour adds a number of enhanced armour types which provide additional bonuses to your soldiers as well as protection, including enhanced vision (extra accuracy, reflexes and night vision), enhanced physical ability (additional TUs, more armour and more carrying capacity) and improved mental stability (extra bravery and resistance to psionic attacks).

— IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ! —

For this mod to work you need to also install the Armour Resource Pack as it contains all the graphic assets used by this mod. Make sure when you activate the mods that Cybernetic Armour is set to higher priority than the Armour Resource Pack.

Once downloaded, unzip the file in your Xenonauts/assets/mods directory.

— Features —

Cybernetic Sensors: After studying the wreckage of an Andron, your scientists will be able to research cybernetically enhanced armour with an array of sesnors and vision enhancers. Integrated into Wolf, Sentinel or Predator armour, these sensors add +15 to the soldier’s Aim and Reflexes and allow them to see in darkness with minimal penalties.

Cybernetic Implants: After studying a live Sebellian, it is possible to develop cybernetically enhanced armour which uses regenerative secretions to improve a soldier’s speed, stamina and resiliance. Integrated into Wolf or Sentinel armour, these implants add +20 TUs, while the weight of the armour is reduced slightly compared to other armour types and more protection granted.

Neuro-Shielding: After studying a live Caesan, it is possible to develop cybernetically enhanced armour which reduces the impact of mental stress and fatigue. Integrated into Wolf, Sentinel or Predaror armour, this shielding adds +20 to the soldier’s Bravery and allows them to ignore he first few psionic attacks directed at them.

— Notes —

– To make the mod work better, autopsies and other ‘free’ research topics now happen instantly rather than after 24 hours.
– In addition to extra armour added by this mod, it also tightens up the armour tech tree so that it is no longer possible to skip armour types (this is most important with regards to Jackal armour, which is now a pre-requisite for Wolf armour).
