Description:

BA Class 3, Tier 3, Unlock Level 12 – Vanilla and Reforged Eden

Primary roles: Player base, Farm, Production, Defense, Storage, Utility, Solar, Upgradable

The Farpoint Compound is a multi-function hangar style player base. Designed for April’s Anvil community challenge, it was really built to pack in a lot of function for the price and size and be compatible with both vanilla and Reforged Eden with no changes needed.

Stock Features

The Farpoint Compound comes stock with 8x320K Storage bays, 1 ammo box, 8 minigun turrets, 54 grow plot farm (grow plots not included), full medical bay, crew room, armor locker and repair, WiFi, 14 large solar panels + capacitor, sealed concrete hull except floor, o2 and dispenser, 2 advanced constructors, upper landing pad, ATM, and decent sized hangar.

Upgrade options

The base has many possible upgrades and does have a part information LCD listing these options and symbols. Here is a list of upgrade parts that can be added in addition to its stock features.

1 Shield, 1 Pentaxid Tank, 4 constructors/deconstructors, Teleporter, 3 1×3 Generators, 2 Solar Capacitors, Repair bay and console (Repair bay can be either placed in the hangar or the landing pad on top of the base), 54 Grow plots (Glow lights and switches included), 1 Basic and 4 Advanced CPU core blocks, and 2 Furnaces.

Offense and defense

The hull is built with concrete and the interior is made of cargo extensions and carbon substrate. The base has 8 minigun turrets which are set up for 360 degree protection. The turrets are placed with a upper and lower mounts in all 4 corners beyond the base hull to be able to target close range ground troops as well as drones.

Notes and tech specs:

When placing the base, be sure to sink in the ground enough for the support feet to be touching.

The hangar doors size 9×5.

There is a back room engineering area where some of the part placements are but not shown in screen shots.

The turrets are placed below the top landing pad to not interfere with possible CV repair if repair bay is placed on landing pad.

I kept the base with 320K storage only to keep compatibility with vanilla.

The storage LCD’s are placed directly above the controllers and hopefully can be easily edited to add content names.
