Trabant 1.1 Universal with "Klaufix" trailer
Trabant 1. what? Yes, a Trabant 1.1 in the Universal (Kombi, Avant, Station Wagon…) version. At the end of the DDR, the VEB Sachsenring Werke put in a 1.1 Litre 4 stroke engine with 45HP from Volkswagen in the Trabant. It’s completely true! 🙂 This special kind of Trabant was only built from 1990 till 1991 with 39.000 units and a ultimate last edition in 1994 with 444 cars. The changes to the old Trabant 601 are of course the new engine, new bumpers, a new grille, a new bonnet and so on.
Here it comes with a little HP500 cargo trailer, in the Ostzone better known as "Klaufix" (You know what i mean… :D), built from the VEB Anhänger- Bau Feuerlöschgeräte Görlitz. It is not recommended to drive the top speed with the trailer. 😀
It’s the same "minifig" scale and time period as my other cars. So check out my other creations. 🙂
