Girls With Puppies
En route to finding a new life, a rag-tag group of drifters from various backgrounds happen upon a litter of emaciated puppies. They start following the squad, for better or worse…
Inspired by the original Guy with Dog and Freedom Seekers starts, this is my gift to you. The milkshake brings some balance to the sausage fest; an all-girl customised start, complete with pew, hats, and some cute little doggos. Starting cats and kit is similar to Freedom Seekers, though each character is special in their own way. You get some bonus cacti as you will start in the NE sector somewhere in a random (probably recently) ruined town/hamlet where you met the puppies. You also get somewhat randomised armour and weapons, along with a crossbow for your Hive Prince(ss).

The doggos start off tiny, but may grow into full-fledged, loveable, slobber monsters if cared for well. They are part of what I would call the Ossis Canis Dirus species and they are special, so you shouldn’t run into them in the wild. Compared to regular bone wolves, they are a little stronger and somewhat faster on about-face. They also grow into somewhat larger adults after a slightly longer cycle. Nothing too overpowering; they start off pretty weak and tiny, they walk the walk, and bite the bite of regular bonedog. You will have to be a good parent – feed them the limbs of your enemies (protein is vital for a puppy’s growth), bind their wounds when they get hurt (infections can kill), and carry them when they fall (they are positively adorable when sleeping).
A comparison of a regular Boneyard Wolf (column on left) versus the Puppies:
- strength: 50 -> 55
- growth cycle: 40 days → 45 days
- scale max: 1.5 → 1.6
- scale min: 0.35 → 0.25
- turn rate: 66 → 77
- blood: 30-300 → 35-350
Everything vanilla remains untouched. As such, it is unlikely that this mod will break anything or vice versa.
If you are using Hatsune Neko’s Animal Backpacks there is a compatibility patch which should be loaded thereafter which can be found here.
