LNER Lets Go Round Again! HST Railtour set
At the end of 2019 LNER retired their fleet of HST Class 43s and Mk3 Coaches, on the 18th of December LNER Started a 4 day Railtour to say goodbye to the iconic fleet. they had specially repainted a 2+7 Formation HST into the original 125 BR Blue Livery with 43206 & 43312 being chosen for the tour after 43300 (which was originally considered to do the tour) got smashed up by 800109.
The tour Consisted of 4 days of runs on parts of the routes HSTs used to run. with the first 2 days being primarily in Scotland and days 3 and 4 being runs down the ECML. the tour set was used again on the 28th of December as a staff charter and was then sent to Ely to be stored, as of 2022* the full mk3 rake has been purchased by an AirBNB "Landlord" and the set is currently being converted into holiday accommodation somewhere in Wales.
