Better Geometry Settings
With this mod, the graphics settings are adjusted, more precisely, the values of the geometry quality options are changed. The default values, which can be looked up in the base_config, unfortunately do not differentiate enough to cover a wide range between graphics and performance.
At the high/medium quality level, the minimum rendering distance is reduced to see more of the near field. In addition, the maximum visibility is increased to see more of the map (Large: from one edge to the other). At low there are lower values, to increase the performance.
In detail, the following changes are made:
-At low, the Lod scaling Distance is set to 0.3 (default: 0.5)
-At low, the maximum view is set to 4000 (default: 5000)
-At medium, the Lod scaling Distance is set to 0.6 (default: 0.75)
-At medium, the minimum view is set to 2 (default: 4)
-At high, the minimum view is set to 0.5 (default: 4)
-At high, the maximum view is set to 16000 (default: 7500)
Please note that there is a rare bug at setting "high", where the map suddenly turns black. This can vary depending on the system, so save often / make sure autosave is enabled!
