Welcome to Beyond the Cape, a mod focused on exploration and historical representation, for Europa Universalis IV v.1.35.1.
The main focus is on Portugal, Castile and the remaining explorer nations.
CONTENT
– Overhaul of the Castilian Civil War disaster. Now Portugal, Aragon, and even France can intervene.
– Revamped exploration system. No longer can a country map the whole Atlantic before 1450. Exploration will now be done closer to how it was historically, without feeling forced.
– New national ideas for Portugal, Castile, Morocco, and others.
– A bunch of new historical flavor events for Portugal, including a long Lisbon Earthquake event chain. The decisions you make will shape the city itself.
– A new portuguese mission tree.
– Three new provinces for Portugal.
– Changed some trade goods in iberian provinces.
– Development in all Iberia has been adjusted.
– New terrain and climate in Iberia.
– Added Lisboa trade node.
– New thematic music.
– New loading screens.
– Order of Christ holy order added.
– Flagship modifications for Portugal and Castile/Spain.
– Unique decisions for Portugal regarding the Caravel and Galleon special units.
– New decision that allows a country to build another flagship.
– Portugal gets their own unique version of the Tercios.
– The Caribbean is no longer a colonial region.
– Replaced Belem Tower monument with Batalha Monastery.
