ADE – Open Circuit
Replaces the vanilla rebreather in Advanced Diving Environment with an open circuit scuba regulator and dive harness. The harness is meant to be fit with either of the back-mounted gas tanks or side-mounted gas tanks. The buoyancy control device from the old rebreather has been added as a standalone item for the night vision slot, although there is no script functionality for a controlled ascent(yet).
This addon does not change the functionality of ADE, and is only meant to serve as a visual replacement for the default model. However, this addon does require ADE and will not function on its own otherwise.
The regulator uses resources from SOG DLC and you may see errors without it installed.

q: Why doesn’t the first stage actually connect to a cylinder?
a: Because of engine limitations, there’s no way to make the hose connect differently based on whether it’s a back mount or side mount. Use your imagination
q: Why open circuit instead of the closed circuit rebreather already in the game by default?
a: The CCR in the game by default is a $25,000-50,000 piece of military hardware that most people would never have access to even if they had the money. I don’t think it makes sense for this to be the standard piece of equipment, especially when the player is obviously blowing bubbles and thus not realistically on a rebreather anyway. This is personal preference
q: Why a replacement instead of a separate object?
a: The entire config and script of Advanced Diving Environment revolves around the item ade_item_rebreather and there is no way around it besides writing a completely new script, which means a completely new version of ADE. I am not interested in creating a personal version of ADE, I would rather leave it up to the original mod authors to create support for custom rebreathers on their own terms. Until that happens, this is only a replacer.
