United in faith and empire, the lands of the west have been made whole for the first time in almost a millennium. The Holy Roman Empire stretches its wings from Constantinople to Lisbon, from Stockholm to Alexandria, encompassing the entire Mediterranean in its embrace. While peace is the law of the land today, fears of schism and heresy grip the hearts of the faithful.
True Holy Roman Empire is a mod which places the former borders of the Roman Empire into the HRE. The electors of old have been usurped by new powerful princes in England, Castille, Burgundy, Tunis, Mamluks, and the Ottomans. Above them all sits the emperor of Byzantium, set to guide the empire into an age of new glory.
The former faiths of Christendom and Islam have set aside their differences and come to recognize each other as “People Of The Book.” They worship under the combined beliefs of Abrahamism. Witness this faith’s slow decline and eventual fall to bloodshed as part of the empire spanning League Wars.
Expanded League Wars: Expanded league wars which allow you to determine the fate of the empire’s belief. Fight multiple continent spanning conflicts and emerge victorious in the wake of Abrahamism’s collapse.
New Religions: The new faith of Abrahamism is spread throughout the empire and is piously observed by all its member nations. It has its own papacy, holy sites, and religious schools.
New Nations: To ensure that the entirety of the HRE has the same shattered status as its base game equivalent, many new tags have been added to populate some of the sparser regions.
New Missions: Two nations have received mission trees which interact with the new empire. The Mamluks quickly face collapse due to a myriad of setbacks, it is up to you to lead them into stability and a reclamation of their core territories. England, facing an internal struggle over their role within the HRE, will quickly fall into a The War of The Roses. You must pick sides and secure victory to determine the fate of the Britons.
New Governments: The Parisian Republic is a unique government centered around the integration of their various Appanges and the unification of France.
New Provinces: New provinces have been added across the empire to accommodate the presence of new city states.
