[Ignition Point v2] M58A1 Longstreet
Ignition Point v2 is a land vehicle project incorporating lessons learned in prior projects, based on my own universe plus nations from a nation RP called TExpo. Ignition Point v2 utilizes a gun convergence method meaning the driver of the vehicle can operate every gun at once, leading to every vehicle only having one seat, though not all vehicles need it. Ignition Point v2 is NOT COMPATIBLE with The Greatest War.
Had a hankering for some Modern US-adjacent vehicles, made these guys over a few weeks. Up next is more Cold War and Interwar content.

Librataris is one of the few superpowers of Ignition Point V2. Heavily inspired by the USA and Third Reich, they’re a democratic nation made of fascists, basically. During the midst of the Cold War, they produce some of the best tanks around.
This pack contains the M58A1 Longstreet, a mildly uparmored and upgraded variant of the M58 heavy tank, notably featuring new 155mm HEATFS. The M58 was made to replace the very obsolete M45 Stonewall heavy tank, and shares numerous features with both it and the MBT variant known as M61 Knox. The M58A1 is quite slow compared to most main battle tanks, and has a quite slow reload and turret drive, as well. Its HEATFS round is relatively low velocity as well, creating issues at long range. However, it possesses very thick armor, especially on its turret. It was noted, however, that the commander cupola was very weak, and proved to be a troublesome weakspot. The M58 and its derivatives remained in service until they were replaced entirely by the next generation M82A2 Jackson, signalling the death of the heavy tank as a concept for Librataris. They did get some cool upgrade packages prior to this, and even got exported to other places.
Pro tips:
M58A1 Longstreet is not great in CQC due to the comparatively weak hull, large cupola weakspot, and slow reload. Try to stay at mid range where your HEATFS is still easy to aim, but you can’t be rushed down. Also, try to hide the hull when possible.
