Boom’s Military Engineer Buff
Military engineers are generally an underutilized unit. They require a building in a district that is not built very often, and their payoff is low, with roads consuming one whole charge, or over 90 production each. I have buffed them in order to fix some of these problems.
- Military Engineers now have 3 movement
It is very difficult to catch up with cavalry or even siege units when they have general and Logistics and support unit movement buffs. This buff allows military engineers to have more mobility to set up quicker while being less vulnerable.
- Military Engineers now have 3 charges
This buff allows Engineers to get more value off their high investment, which I think is a worthwhile change.
- Building regular roads no longer consumes a charge
I think if I’m gonna build a nearly 200 production unit that requires an Encampment, Barracks/Stable, and Armory, I should at least get as much value as one single trader in producing roads :p
