Description:

Composition utilizing the new RHS USAF DEV tow mechanics to enable other tractors to tow the M870 and M871 trailers. Both already have boxloader capabilities. This composition will require you to have the GM DLC, boxloader, CBA3, as well as the @Engineervehicles mod (including the RHS DEV mods listed). This works by using small model "tow hitch" that is attached to the relative position of the 5th wheel tractor. Unfortunately, it only work with the M870 and M871 trailers at the moment. It works at a wide range of speeds and rough terrain and even on most bridges. AI will also be able to drive a tractor-trailer combo, though there are some issues that cause the driver to pull to the right of the road as though he’s yielding to the trailer to pass. A quick and dirty work around is to have an "extended" tractor hitch that pulls the trailer a meter or two further back. The Zil-157 on the "Tank Transporters with PLP and PF" (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3014574455&searchtext=) seems to fix this issue for the most part. You can use the test hitch to turn pretty much any vehicle into a tractor now. To use the tank transporter, get on the flatbet and look directly at the black platform so that it gives you the "select cargo to load" action (make sure it’s for the black pallet attached to the M870, not the M870 trailer itself as it cannot accommodate larger tanks by itself). As long as the tank is close to the trailer, it should load just like any Boxloader object. I’ve tested on a wide variety of tanks and they all have good results with little to no clipping, except for the CSLA DLC tanks for some reason.
