Description:

— works with Norscan patch —

As per title, this mod does a pretty simple thing: it adds low-mid tier imperial units for recruitment and custom battle to Vampire Counts and Von Carsteins.

For now, the additions are:
– Spearmen (both versions)
– Swordsmen
– Huntsmen (new unit, city lvl.4, heavily capped)

Stats are altered only with a lower leadership and slightly lower stats on the Swordsmen. They are recruited via main buildings (Altdorf and Couronne included).
Uniforms will show proper faction colours (red/black for Sylvania); variants were customized to ban pesky comet-like effiges et similia; also, voice overs settings were altered as possible to prevent similar shows of support towards Altdorf’s Empire. Mannfred will instead give them direct orders via necromantic megaphone.

Oh, another thing this mod does is limiting Kemmler’s regeneration to undead targets, just to prevent these poor fellas to be healed via necromancy. This will not affect the game in any other way.

Reasoning: most Vampire Counts – the Von Carsteins in particular – do not actually wish to squat life in its entirety but are rather enthralled by their desire of becoming emperors. Over living and undead servants as well. In times of need or for a whim, they could even force living Sylvanians and other humans to fight for them – sheer terror would do the trick. Thus, fear dictates the upkeep (in default dark magic and not actual moneyz) and the lowered morale.

At least this is my reasoning, give or take, rate up or down as you desire!

FAQs Answers:
– Halberdiers are a no-go. They would easily affect balance and I don’t want that. Stick to your GGs.
– Drakenhof Templars and whatever else are more suited to a RoR mod and not to what is conceived as a levy addition. Don’t really fit, even for the little impact a single unit would make.
– "They take attrition in human lands": yes, it’s called mass desertion.
– This is supposed to be a simple and lightweight mod! I don’t want to meddle with textures (more than I did with the Huntsmen) or more units or mechanics.

See the collection above for examples of what’s surely compatible.
