Patrol that outpost!
Within a couple of days after starting your outpost (or doing a import with a outpost) you will get a "Patrol Squads on the way" alert and the game will add 2 empty squads with modified AI to your game.
Any unit you add to one of these squads will start patrolling your outpost whenever they do not have a active job or order.
I recommend changing the names of the squads to prevent confusion. If you delete one of the 2 squads by choice or by accident the mod will recreate it after a couple of days.
FAQ
Is it possible to have units patrol in a group?
Yes, have your units bodyguard/follow a unit who is on patrol.
Do the patrol AI remain after a import?
Not at the moment, the squad will lose its patrol AI after the import. The mod however should spawn new squads to that do work.
Can I have several squads patrol several different outposts?]
*edited* I have currently limited the mod to two squads as it would otherwise endlessly spawn empty squads (100+ in test run) en crash your game. Delete 1 squad and the event will respawn after a couple of days.
I no longer want my soldiers to patrol that outpost, can I remove the patrol AI from the squad?
Move your soldiers to a normal squad.
Can I use the patrol town AI for training my troops?
Yes, strength and athletics can be trained while on patrol. Stealth can also be trained if there are npc around.
I’m at my squad limit, will this mod still work?
Yes, these special squads do not count toward your squad limit.
UPDATE1
East of the Hub at the Ruined Holy Outpost I added a unique Skeleton NPC called: Broken Patrolbot.
He is essential for the campaign that spawns the patrol squads. Kill/Imprison him if you want to prevent the mod from spawning any more patrol squads.
