For a long time Marble County remained a half-wild territory next to Marble County National Park. People came and went but they never stayed long, since for the most part they only used the region as a transit route to other parts of the state of Montana.
But as time went on, after several expeditions sent by the Montana’s State Legislature, the leaders of one, which was your grandfather discovered large reserves of oil in the swampy area on the south side of bear island. The sudden discovery, year after year, drew people to this area. Another expedition discovered even more minerals by pure chance, while laying another road through the mountains. This was the turning point in the history of Marble County.
The goverment decided it was time to finally bring people here permanently. You were honored to become the leader of Marble County Council and decide which way your people will develop this beautiful land.
I want to thank to ryantheskinny and Ternet18 for helping me with backstory. It means a lot for me, guys.
