Starving Bandits Reduced Squads
Does having 100+ Starving Bandits on your screen make you lose FPS? Do you hate making bases in Skinner’s Roam because there are too many Starving Bandit corpses, pierced with harpoons, lying at your front gates? Do you have a mod that makes Starving Bandits individually stronger?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this mod was meant for you!
This is a simple mod that reduces the number of maximum Starving Bandits that can spawn in their base assaults and giant mob squads. I’ve also opted to increase the minimum number that can spawn as well, so the giant mobs still feel giant and the base assaults still feel somewhat threatening.
I’ve also adjusted the regular Starving Bandit spawn with a lower minimum and slightly higher maximum. This is because it would make sense in the world of Kenshi for a solo hungry bandit to get separated from his squad and I personally enjoy this change a lot.
Below are the exact number changes. To the left of the arrow are the vanilla numbers and to the right are the adjusted numbers. The left number between each bracket is the minimum and the right number is the maximum bandits that can spawn.
I.E. Hungry bandit [VanillaMin-VanillaMax] => [ModdedMin-ModdedMax]
Starving bandit assault
Squad 1: Hungry bandit [7-50] => [10-30]
Squad 2: Hungry bandit [9-50] => [12-30]
Starving bandit giant mob
Squad 1: Hungry bandit [20-100] => [35-55]
Squad 1: Hungry bandit leader [1-100] => [5-10]
Squad 2: Hungry bandit [20-100] => [35-55]
Starving bandit mob
Squad 1: Hungry bandit [5-9] => [1-10]
I needed to make this mod for my personal mod list because I use a mod that buffs Starving Bandits making the massive squads able to completely overrun cities. I also use 5x Attack Slots, which effectively buffs large squads. Because of both these mods, I needed to reduce the number of Starving Bandits or else they would rule the entire world!
The Starving Bandit buff mod is called Starving bandits fix by Maximus, which diversifies their weapons and makes their stats randomly stronger. This mod can be found at the link below:

I even use a patch mod that weakens the buffs called SB fix weaker by jake_j_a, but even then, I still needed to reduce their numbers to bring their strength in check. The patch mod for Starving bandits fix is listed below:
