Description:
"With the name Hayate, meaning Gale or Hurricane, the Ki-84 was a single-seat fighter of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Service- IJAAS. Designed as a solution to the growing problems of the Ki-43 and Ki-44, the design would be a considerable upgrade, with better speed and firepower while still maintaining maneuverability, as well as being easier to manufacture in large numbers. Whilst a solid design -one of the best of the IJAAS- its operational history was plagued by the lack of experienced pilots and shortages of materials for maintenance. This particular Hayate wears the livery of the 47th Sentai. "
