Creates the effect of a call-and-response work song sung by military personnel using AI units that run / march.

How it works

Each AI runner unit is locked into a running animation with a forward velocity and direction. In this state they will run in synch and alignment – and through objects in their path, in a straight line – forever. Consequently it’s important to have them all pointed in exactly the same direction and be evenly spaced.

The leading unit is the 3D sound source. There are two cadence sound files – one ~58s and the other twice that length. Based on the settings in the script you can have them either run in an endless loop back and forwards. Or run for ~235m or ~470m and then get deleted.

Setup

First you need to read the script header and set the options you want. Then you need to create and name 11 runners – dress them appropriately and place them in your mission and make sure they are evenly spaced and aligned in the same direction. Then setup the sound classes in Description.ext under CFGSounds – or use the demo files. Then run the command line in a laptop or trigger or through your init.sqf.
