Background:

Blessed Spawnings are in a weird place in vanilla. They have unique blessings, an improvement over the normal unit. However, this buff cannot be chosen and is a lot of times a weird fit for the unit, like Magic Resistance for Skink Skirmishers or Charge Bonus for Temple Guard. This mod hopes to fix the randomness of these buffs.

Blessing Features:
  • This mod uses the Grennskin Scrap upgrades system to allow Blessed Spawnings to be truly blessed by a Old one to make the Blessed Spawnings feel more unique and interesting. See pictures above for options and stats
  • Nine Blessings are availeble, with each faction having acces to one unique greater Blessing. The curent Old Ones availeble are:
    Chotec with Greater version available to Hexoatl/Mazdamundi
    Huanchi with Greater version available to Ghosts of Pahuax/Oxyotl
    Tlazcotl with Greater version available to Itza/Gor-Rok
    Quetzl with Greater version available to Spirit of the Jungle/Nakai
    Tepok with Greater version available to Tlaqua/Tiktaq’to
    Itzl with Greater version available to Last Defenders/Kroq-Gar
    Sotek with Greater version available to Cult of Sotek/Tehenhauin
    Tzunki
    Xokha
  • The random traits Vanilla Blessed Spawnings had have been removed, now they are simply the normal unit with a bit more HP. This is counteracted by them being able to choose a blessing. But don’t worry, if you really want to, you can get back your Temple Guard with extra charge bonus. Everything that has been removed can be re added with a Blessing.

Overall Features:
  • I am not a good scripter but I think I managed to change how the Blessed Spawning missions is applied. You should now be able to have multiple missions active and they should fire a lot quicker, making for the player having more Blessed Spawnings. Might not be balanced, but if you get to many for your liking, just don’t recruit them.
  • Blessed Spawnings with skirmishing weapons have had their hiding scalar reduced, making snipe actually usable for them

Alternative:

I have made a mod in the past buffing Blessed Spawnings in general and bringing the bad ones up to speed a bit.This is a alternative for someone who doesn’t want to spend the time choosing a buff, but simply having a better unit.

Known issues:

The Blessed Spawnings which has Perfect Vigour in Vanilla still have the bullet point left on their unit card. Nothing I could do about this without messing up the mods compatibility
If you find any problems please let me know, it can just be a misspelling for example
