Description:

Are you having trouble figuring out modular engines? Do you not want to spend hours making and testing an engine? Do you want to focus on visual details and not technical ones? Do you have an old vehicle that you would like to modernize but dont have the time? If you said yes to any of these, then you are in the right place.

CaptainSmollett’s ‘Pre-Made’ Modular Engine Pack:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This ‘pre-made’ modular engine pack is a selection of 15 different sized and powered modular engines that can be used by anybody and for everything. The engines range from the tiny 2 cylinder 1×1 engine, to the ginormous 4 cylinder 5×5 engine. While making this pack, I tried my best to make the engines suitable for most vehicles (helicopters, boats, and planes). The point of this pack is to let more players be able to build more complex things, and also to help people have a general understanding of modular engines. All of these engines have been tested (stats shown below), and decorated (as much as I can, since I can’t appeal do everybody’s style of building). I hope this pack is useful to people and helps with the building of peoples vehicles.

HOW TO HOOK UP MODULAR ENGINES TO LOGIC:

1. Make sure all compenents that can be connected to power/electricity are.

2. Place 2 throttle levers, and a toggle and push button

3. Connect the push button to the starter or starters of the specific engine (make sure you connect all of them, or else the engine WILL NOT work.

4. Connect the toggle button to all of the radiator(s)/pumps on the engine. Again, make sure you connect ALL of the components, or else the engine WILL explode

5. Connect 1 throttle lever to the ‘clutch pressure’ of the engine

6. Connect the other throttle lever to the ‘AIR manifold clutch’ of the engine, and also the function block input (already inside the engine) IF THE FUNCTION BLOCKS ARE NOT THERE, ADD A FUNCTION BLOCK WITH ‘X/2’ INSIDE OF IT

7. If the function blocks output isn’t connected to the fuel manifold(s) already, connect it to the engines fuel manifold (not air!).

8. Connect the fuel manifold (located at the top of the engine) to your vehicles fuel supply via pipe (pumps may be necessary for longer pipes)

9. Connect the exhaust manifold (located on the top of the engine as well) to a port or fluid exhaust.

10. You are done! 1 lever will control the clutch, the other will control the air/fuel ratio. The 2 buttons will control the cooling and starting of the engine

HOW TO CREDIT:

2 Simple ways to credit me if you upload a vehicle with an engine from the pack to the WS:

1. Just copy and paste the engine! All of the engines already include a watermark that credits me (I made sure that they dont impact the shape or performance of the engine)
2. If you don’t want to keep the engine watermark, and want to use something else to credit me, put something along the lines of ‘Engine made by Captainsmollett’, or leave a link to this workshop page in the description of the item you are uploading.

FINAL WORDS:

I spent a lot of time making, detailing and testing these engines, and I hope they can be used/are useful to people who want to make a vehicle with modular engines.
If you have a vehicle that uses these engines, feel free to DM me a link to the WS (CaptainSmollett#7369 on discord), and I will gladly put a picture on this page, as well as a link (as credit for screenshots)

To anybody wondering, I will be adding more engines to this pack as time passes.

If you have any issues, please message me and I will fix it as soon as possible.

UPDATES:

July 1st (Version 1.1): Added f(x) blocks (with x/2 inside) to every engine that will make connecting fuel manifolds and getting correct air/fuel ratios easier. Also fixed a couple of small issues with some engines.
