The year is 1994… War Rages in the Republic of Altis and Stratis
Enlist as an AAF Squad Leader and assault an APLIF stronghold in South Eastern Altis
Context:
Decades of insurgency and civil conflict are coming to an end. After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1992 and end of the support they provided the APLIF (Altis People’s Liberation and Independence Front) in material and training, the AAF has finally been able to find an advantage over their foe. Years of stalemate have been broken, and the AAF has conducted a lighting offensive, pushing the APLIF into a corner.
However, during the lightning assault a key APLIF stronghold, Chalkeia, was bypassed. This has left the rear of some of the AAF’s formations exposed to night raids and ambushes. This is unacceptable.
