Description:

The Waco Siege was a 51 day standoff at a compound called the Mt. Carmel Center Ranch just east of Waco, Texas. The Mt. Carmel Center was owned by the Branch Davidian religious group, which was stockpiling weapons, eventually drawing the ATF to execute a search warrant on the compound. The Branch Davidians fought back, killing 4 ATF agents before their final siege of the compound. On April 19, 1993, the ATF and FBI used a tank as well as tear gas and other weapons to infiltrate the compound and, though not many definitive details are known, the compound ended up burning to the ground during the siege, killing 76 people inside.

This is a large sized map made entirely using the in-game editor. There are 5 flags- one north spawn for ATF, one south spawn for ATF, one spawn at the house across from the Branch Davidian Compound, and 2 in and around the Compound itself. This is not meant to be 100% historically accurate. The placement of Raven at the ATF Flags and Eagle at the Branch Davidian Flags does not represent my views on the incident, this is just how I made the map. Like I said, this map was made entirely using the ingame editor. It is a very big map with tons of assets, so I don’t really know how it will run on a lower end computer or a Mac. Feel free to let me know what you would like to see to make this map better, as it is my first map and will not be perfect, but I hope you enjoy it.

TO EVERYONE ADDRESSING THIS/ASKING IN THE COMMENTS- yes, it’s controversial. I understand that and I knew it would be when I made it. I got the idea to make it from a comment on the Discord channel. This map is nothing more to me than something that hasn’t been showcased before. However, it happened nearly 30 years ago and, as explicitly stated in the description, I am not taking a stance on the incident, nor am I taking a stance on any events that happened consequently. What side you choose to take when playing the map, thanks to the ‘configure flags’ box on the bottom of your game screen, is entirely up to you. I do not feel as if I am under-representing either side of this conflict nor am I trying to offend anybody by uploading this. If it directly offends you for whatever reason, I apologize. If it offends you for whatever reason to the point where you want me to take it down, I can do that, just let me know.
