Description:

A 44 foot long, open hulled boat, the Explorer is made to serve as a day boat in calm water, such as a lake or calm areas of oceans or rivers. It’s not exactly fast, at 22 knots, though it is rather large for it’s class.

It will sink if you drive it into high waves (over 50% wind is often enough to sink it). It’s really only good for calm seas.

Lore:
The boat was originally named Gerald, then it was sold and purchased a few times, used by various owners, and in the end it was named the Explorer. It’s singular outboard is a SFM 8 Cylinder outboard controlled by switches on the tiller.

Controls
To start the engine:
-Ensure the throttle level is at zero
-Flip the switch labeled "Engine Main Switch" (This is the killswitch)
-Turn the key on top of the motor itself to start the engine

To use the engine:
-Start in throttle level zero
-To go forward click the throttle forward button. Wait for the engine to hit it’s peak. Once the engines RPMs are level, you can switch up a level. (What I am saying is don’t throttle it from zero to four too quickly, be reasonable with it, like it’s a manual gearbox on a car)

To shift to reverse (from moving forward)
-Turn the throttle level to zero
-Wait until you are nearly stopped
-Press the throttle back button to either -1 or -2

Steering
-Steering is done via buttons. It’s not that bad, okay? It is very difficult to flip the boat if there’s no waves or wind, it shouldn’t flip even if both throttle and steering are at full.
-Remember the Reset Steering button, it’s very useful.

Drain Valve
-The drain valve is for trailering the boat, once it’s on the trailer and out of the water, it’s used to let water drain out of the boat freely.
-Do not open the valve with the boat in the water, you will eventually sink.
