Description:

General Motors introduced the Pontiac Fiero in 1984 as America’s first mass-produced mid-engine sports car. Unfortunately, in-fighting at GM led to debuting the car with a smaller engine than originally conceived, leading it to have underwhelming performance and–most controversially–the engine catching on fire that tarnished the new Fiero name before the little two-seater could get off the line.

Described as "the most ’80s looking car ever built", it’s wedge-shaped design, notched back, wide stance, plastic body panels, and pop-up headlights contribute to an aggressive(ly ’80s) sports car that is sure to make you stand out as you cruise through the trailer park.

About

This mod adds the Pontiac Fiero 2M4 to the game.

It comes in four color options. It has a nice throaty sound (thanks to GM’s "Iron Duke"), decent top speed, and excellent on-road handling. On the other hand, it has limited trunk space, is more vulnerable to damage, and stops like a dump truck.

It looks good, though. Reeeal good.

This vehicle features opening front doors and windows and an interior that you can see when windows are smashed or removed. It also has an opening trunk located in the back, which is next to the engine. The engine can be accessed next to the rear quarter panel on the passenger side of the vehicle. There is also a hood that can be removed or damaged, but it does not open (there’s nothing under there to access).

The pop up (up and down) headlights (uh) aren’t functional, but I’m hoping to add those soon. Right now they’re always up so they can be turned on.

Ethos

My goal is to release cars that fit naturally into the game world and stylistically match the base-game’s textures and art design. Additionally, I’ve also strive for my work to be ultra light-weight (to keep performance smooth) and to look great with other vehicle mods that share a similar ethos, such as Filibuster Rhymes’ Used Cars, fhqwhgads’ Motorious Zone, and improvement mods such as the Vanilla Vehicle Enhancer, among others.

My vehicle mods use real world names.
