The Johnston 16-Wheeler Locomotivce
The Johnston Type D "16-Wheeler" locomotives were 16 geared-steam locos built from 1910 to 1937 in New Zealand. They were made exclusively for logging opeartions. They worked similarly to a Shay, a vertical 2-cylinder engine drove an axle that then fully powered 4 bogeys with 4 wheels each. None were preserved. All info taken from "douglas-self.com"
