I really recommend turning on infinite ammo for this, the machine guns don’t have much ammo. Blame the devs for their terrible guesswork.
The P-51D was le creme de le creme in many aspects, far surpassing what earlier models could achieve. It’s enormous range and powerful engine made it the perfect candidate to not only protect bombers, but to be one of the few aircraft that regularly engaged early jets.

Starting: (1) Turn on "Engine Master" (2) Hold "Engine" until the engine starts (3) Turn on "Release Wheel Brakes" (4) Press ‘4’ (5) Throttle up to .10 and taxi (6) Throttle up to .40 (7) Pull back on the yoke if needed (8) Turn on "Retract Landing Gear" (9) Fly Taking Care of your Mustang: (1) Treat it well, and it will treat you well (2) There aren’t any droptanks, but this already has a ton of range. (3) This IS a fighter, so please kill every BF-109 you see
