Happy Geheimnisnacht Eve Heretics. Its our 10th anniversary and its release day for the Hotfix update!
Last Year, I took a pause on milestones after the holiday wishlist update to focus entirely on a code refactor and performance overhaul. This is necessary to properly document and convert our massive database of events to the CK3 version. A year later, I’m only about half way done, but this update is one of our best performing and bug free releases ever pushed by the team. Its been tested by our dedicated SVN users but its time to get it to a wider audience for feedback. Any major problems have now been addressed in this subsequent Hotfix and things should be stable, enjoy!
I NEED to stress to players, this is a standalone package, one that embodies the true meaning of "complete overhaul". DO NOT use other mods, any of them, unless it is a part of our official collection. I don’t care if the usual marketing words "lightweight, tiny, minimal, should be compatible with anything that doesn’t touch X, etc." are used or if you’ve never played the game without them.
They have either already been integrated, there is a version or similar thing in the mod already, or they are simply not intended to work with this codebase.
The constant bug reports stemming from players with modlists including over two dozen different mods are less than helpful, please make sure a bug can be replicated on a fresh save using only the base mod and soundtrack before reporting.
If you are playing MULTIPLAYER and do not know the proper sequence to safely host a mod without de-syncs come to the discord and we will help you out. We have had over 30 players in one stable game for over 120 years with zero crashes or issues.
