The Evangelist – Broadcaster of Truth
Have you ever wanted to play Godhead but were infuriated that it always conflicted with other mods?
I was too for the longest time, that’s exactly why I decided to create The Evangelist.
The Evangelist is obviously inspired by the popular mod "Godhead" but with enough twists to make him stand on his own.
He starts with a Tainted Treasure item called "Evangelism" that gives his tears a static aura that smites his foes if they stay within the aura for too long, much like Dogma’s godhead attack.
His stats are as follows
– One Heart Container and One Black heart
– 1.1 Speed
– 2.63 Fire Rate (Idk why it’s so specific)
– 2.5 Damage
– 11.5 Range
– 0.6 Shot Speed
– 1 Luck
The Evangelist’s special ability is two-fold. He is UNABLE to visit Angel Rooms (Unless you have Act of Contrition or Eucharist) but he makes up for this downside by making it so he has a chance for any Treasure Room item or Devil Deal to be replaced by an Angel Room item. (Oh boy I can’t wait for Lazy Mattman to roll Sacred Heart on the first Treasure Room)
I am aware this is a decently underwhelming character, but I wanted to reignite the fire provided by all the fans of Godhead who were all disappointed in the slow death of the character. So this is my gift to the community, to have something similar, but with its own little twist to fill this empty spot in all of our hearts.
