The german class 101 is a class of high-speed heavy load universal engines built in the mid 90’s to replace the older classes 103 and 120.

Update 1.2 includes also engines for sandwich trains!

• Maximum speed: 220 km/h (136 mph)
• Power output: 6,400 kW
• Tractive effort: 300 kN
• Available: 1996-2010, from 1996, from 2012
• Usage: all fast passenger services, also freight services
