MV-33 Osprei

The MV-33 Osprei is a VTOL tactical transport, designed for quick and stealthy extractions and invasions. It can hold at least 12 soldiers, as well as their cargo; Into battle rapidly, back and forth. It is also capable of taking on rescue operations, as the founding devs intended. Its medium length range, allows it to search the oceans and mountains of stormworks for long periods of times without refueling. And when the time comes to refuel, it is aerial refuel compatible. So that it may extend its range without even landing.

The Engineering

Inside of the Osprei, or rather on the wing tips. You’l find a set of turbine engines, driving twin 3 bladed rotors, which provide lift to the aircraft. In the avionics department, a modified ZE Helicopter gyro controls the aircraft during hover operations, while a stock gyro controls the aircraft in level flight. Up front in the cockpit, information is given to the pilots via a Glass/Analog cockpit, in an easy to understand layout so that beginner pilots may feel at home in this complex VTOL. The cockpit includes situational awareness indicators, as well as a system to prevent landing gear from accidentally being deployed while under pressure, (Coming soon is a system that prevents the propellers from impacting the ground while at low altitude, it broke during testing and now i have to fix it D:).
