The ODRA 1305 is a third generation, high reliability computer
designed for data processing as well as scientific and engineering
computations in largescale computing centres. Made by Polish ELWRO factory (Wrocsławskie Zakłady Elektroniczne) it was one of the most popular Mainframe computers in Polish People Republic. It was used in factories, railway infrastructue and in some army systems! It was based on a British ICL mainframe (ICT 1900) desing bought as a licence but our engineers made it 20% faster! As a gesture of gratiude for the licence we gave the upgraded schematics to ICL and thier ICL series 20 are basicaly our Odra’s in western disguise.
