Piasecki H-21
The Piasecki H-21! Also known as the Workhorse or the Shawnee.
This project marks my first tandem rotor helicopter! As a special twist, both rotors had to be tilted forward a couple degrees to match the real design, I think it turned out quite well! This livery was based off a model for a German H-21 I saw while gathering references.
The starting procedure for this is very simple. There’s a door on the left of the fuselage that you can use if you want, but there’s no windows stopping you from just jumping in the seat from the ground.
Pilot’s seat is right side.
Turn the key and press the big red button.
Autohover is disabled by default (toggleable with ‘1’) but unless you have a little experience flying aircraft in stormworks, I’d recommend turning it ON for takeoff. Without it, the rear pivots up first and there’s a moment where the helicopter balances on the nose wheel.
Top speed is roughly 160kph but it flies much nicer around the 80-100kph range.
