Description:

!!! Press on the touch screen monitor to traverse the gun !!!

Story
After the collapse of the western nations, occupation forces dwindled with the Axis refocusing on the east. This created more breathing room for Banished operations, and in turn Banished manufacturing and machining.Venture AVL2 was the working name of the project which resulted in the Badger. Previously V. AVL1 was intended to create an Armoured Vehicle – Light which would also carry operatives in a small compartment located somewhere on the vehicle alongside the vehicles crew, however this project was shelved due to lack of knowledge.Venture AVL2 would begin with Banished AFV Designers from primarily Ireland, Britain, and Norway drafting the blueprints and creating very shoddy mock-ups to prove feasibility.Venture AVL2 would be a first for the Banished, as it would prove the idea of wide-span manufacturing in many small workshops to be a viable option for building AFVs.The prototype (Mk.1) would be completed soon after, and proved to need a remade gunnery system. The 8tL Mk.2, labeled " Badger", would enter serial production under the WSM theory within 7 months of its blueprints.Due to difficulties in record-keeping with de-centralized forces, the true number of operational Badger tanks is not certain, however unit records available indicate 2-3 units which operate the Badger in a primary functional role, and another 2 units which operate it in a support role.

Features & Specifications
  • Top Speed : 49kph
  • Pintle Mounted Machine Gun
  • Small & Low Profile
  • 2-Way Banished Radio
  • ‘P.2 57mm Anti-Tank Cannon’ HAC w/ 4s Simulated Reload ( This means when you load the breech, it will take 4s to "reload", or it will act as a cooldown with infinite ammo )
  • Difficulty for use in multiplayer: Intermediate-Beginner – Badger has good qualities but lacks armour meaning the crew must be more careful regarding the positions they get into.

Operating
  • Badger is a light tank, meaning good top speed, maneuverable, and in this case a good gun, however it lacks a Co-axial or Hull machine gun (only having a pintle mount on the exterior).
The major weaknesses of the Badger are its light armour and cramped interior, as well as having mediocre range.
The badger works best in a Harasser role, as well as just operating as a light tank for reconnaissance and support.
  • The gun traversal is done via pressing on the monitor as if it was a touch screen. This was done to allow for fitting full functionality of vehicles into a smaller space, and it allows for a unique degree of control when operating the vehicle. Depending on how close to the centre of the screen you press, you can traverse the gun faster or slower, allowing you to make finer movements when needed.
  • Badger, among all modern TB&B tanks was designed with our in-house tank battles in mind, where we have worked (tirelessly) to balance vehicles against each other and give them strengths and weaknesses. Due to this balancing process and specific design philosophy, some features may not make sense out of context
(underwater welders repair slower, for example)

This creation is for the "The Battered & Banished"(TB&B) Project, an alternate history project inspired by World War 2 and that time period.
In TB&B, you will find a story of a shattered Europe and what it was like before, where skilled guerilla forces and organized resistances fight to take Europe back using anything they can find or make, as well as the stories of the civilians trying to make it through such a period of chaos.
