Acceptance
Embraced by sin.
Acceptance is a risky but fun passive item to have in a run.
Upon picking it up a Sin Buddy familiar will appear which can be any one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Upon taking 4 instances of damage you’ll spawn another different Sin Buddy until you have all 7. If you continue to take damage you have a 25% chance of spawning a random pickup (similar to the Book of Sin item).
This item can be found in the Devil Room item pool.
Each Sin Buddy behaves loosely to their enemy counterpart.
Lust:
Contact damage of 1.
Walks around, leaving red creep where it goes.
Will run towards the player when it can’t find an enemy.
Sloth:
Contact damage of 0.5.
Summons a friendly charger (up to 3).
Fires an explosive poison tear.
Will fire in a random direction if it decides to shoot and has no
target.
Greed:
Contact damage of 0.5
Summons 2 friendly hoppers (up to 3).
Fires a triple shot.
Pride:
Contact damage of 0.5
Summons 2 troll bombs next to itself (does this more often when near an enemy).
Fires diagonal quad lasers.
Gluttony:
Contact damage of 0.5.
Fires a Brimstone laser when an enemy is near the line of fire.
Shoots out 8 tears evenly around itself.
Wrath:
Contact damage of 0.5
Places a bomb when near an enemy.
Blocks enemy projectiles.
Envy:
Contact damage of 1.
Bounces around the room.
Blocks enemy projectiles, by doing so it splits into 2 for up to 8 total copies.
The more split up it is the faster it moves.
