Description:

A map of the region around Naples, Campania, Italy.

Ancient Romans called this land Campania Felix, which in latin means happy country, fertile volcanic soil warmed by the sun, hillls towns and scenic views. In this place italian public transportation was born at the start of the XIX century, with the first italian railway (Naples – Portici, 1838), the first italian steamer ( "Ferdinando I", 1818, that connected Naples with Palermo, Genoa and Marseille), the first italian airline (seaplane mail line Naples – Palermo, 1917) and other records.

Don’t blame me for the ultralong bridges that connect the islands across the Naples Gulf, it’s the program that automatically wants to create a connection for every city on the map, and at the present there is no way to disable this behaviour.

Enjoy the map and feel free to post comments and suggestions!
